Reflection of a Permanent Moment (2021)
Can you define the feeling, I know how you feel. Can I sit with you? Give me a hug. I already told you. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't have given it up. What was I like, yesterday? This doesn't belong to words.
This work emerged by listening to little moments during our stay in Užice, where almost without our doing, our conversations and the building we were at entered into a co-creation of a space with enough time, enough room, enough walls, enough chairs at the table. The concrete architecture of Užice, being reflected, liquified and mirrored, merges with the sounds of voices reflecting of the walls of a room that still bears the silence from the time before. Where lightrays and soundwaves go out of their way to suggest a lot of people where there are none, a hall where there is only a small room and permanence where there is only a fleeting thought of a Utopia, we can find permanent conversations in temporary spaces and play with the suggestion of what kind of surroundings can give shelter to these moments.
Say it with your hands. Once the wall is white, it can never be blue again. I love it when western people come here, it’s like they’ve never seen anything fall apart before.
